Gorgeous set of two Navajo made sterling silver hair forks. Each pin has a solitaire oval turquoise cabochon set at the top in a smooth bezel. The silver has a hand stamped design and two twisted prongs to help keep the pins secure in the hair. Amazing that the matching set is still together after all these years!
Condition: They have a heavy, naturally formed patina. I have not polished them at all and will leave that up to the tastes of the new owner. One of the cabochons is flat and the other is domed, it's not super noticeable but may be more pronounced to some folks.
Size: Each pin is just under 3" long and 1 1/8" wide. Weigh 14.9g
Marks: the pins are not marked, as is typical of Navajo jewelry of this era. Test as sterling silver.
