Vintage sterling silver inlay Knifewing bolo tie. The sterling is thick and heavy on this guy, the turquoise used in the inlay is a gorgeous robins egg blue with pyrite inclusions. Other inlay materials are white mother of pearl, red enamel, and jet. The craftsmanship on this piece is a little rough, especially around the legs but the detail on the wings is really nice. The bolo is on a black braided leather lariat with large sterling silver tips.
Condition: Overall very good, functioning condition with a moderate amount of natural patina. Personal preferences vary greatly for the amount of patina on vintage jewelry, therefore I tend to sell jewelry "as found" and leave polishing up to the new owner.
Size: the wingspan is 2 3/8" wide and 2 3/8" tall. The lariat is 40" total in length.
Hallmark: none, tests as sterling silver.
Era: Late 1950's/early 60's
