Unique Native American made sterling silver owl inlay ring. The inlay work consists of white mother of pearl with turquoise, abalone, jet, and spiny oyster shell. The ring is a mash-up of a Zuni made inlay cabochon set by a Navajo silversmith in a handmade sterling setting, which is not an uncommon occurrence in southwestern jewelry. The cab is set in a sawtooth bezel with ornate design elements of rope and bent wire. Mid-weight band with a split shank. Signed with a single M, the artist has not been identified.

Condition: New old stock and came from a closed down gift shop. Some light patina, overall there is very little wear and in very good condition. Personal preferences vary greatly for the amount of patina on vintage jewelry, therefore I tend to sell jewelry "as found" and leave polishing up to the new owner.

Size: The band size is 7.25 and the setting measures just over 1" long and 7/8" wide.

Hallmark: M - unknown maker. Not marked for sterling but tests as such.

Era: 1970's
